For our Clinical Team in Lugano, we are looking for a:


Vendor Management Associate (permanent contract/ full-time job)


Responsibilities include:


  • Coordinate with involved internal functions to assess business requirements and outsourcing specifications to prepare study specific request for proposals/quotations (RFPs);
  • Negotiation and definition of activities, responsibilities, and financial aspects of the contractual agreements with Clinical Vendors in collaboration with other internal functions.
  • Negotiation and finalization of specific Work Orders/quotations with CROs and other vendors.
  • Manage and monitor changes to contractual study plans, (costs, activities and timelines), challenging CROs and other Vendors cost increases and ensuring timely change order negotiation, finalization and implementation when required.
  • Revision of cost proposals of CROs’s third party vendors/subcontractors to guarantee alignment with study specification.
  • Comply with Helsinn’s SOPs for all the needed activities in relationship to clinical Vendors
  • Collaborate with Clinical Research & Development officers and Project Management in the management of the study budget of individual projects according to contractual agreements


The successful candidate has the following qualifications:


  • Previous experience of approximately 5 years in similar positions in Pharmaceutical Companies and/or international CROs.
  • University degree.
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • Proficient use of standard of IT tools
  • Availability to travel.
  • Analytical skills, accuracy, and synthesis capabilities as well as organizational skills.
  • Excellent relations with colleagues and functions outside the company, ability to work in teams as well as independently.
  • Solution oriented.
